jQuery, AIR, and ColdFusion presentation to BACFUG on January 20th, 2010

Way back in May, at cf.Objective(), I met a great guy named Sid. He shared with me that he was involved in the Bay Area ColdFusion User Group way out in the country of California. Sid told me that he was impressed with my jQuery presentation and asked if I would be interested in speaking to BACFUG. Fast forward 7 months and it seems that they've finally been forced to make good on their offer and let me speak. I'm sure it's because Sean Corfield can't be bothered to make the drive into the Adobe offices, but who am I to complain. (yes, I'm just kidding).

In all seriousness, I'm really excited about this chance to speak to the BACFUG. There's a lot of top notch talent in that city and it's really an honor to be asked to present. I'll be splitting the presentation into two pieces. The first section will be an intro to jQuery; geared at users who haven't used jQuery, or who have only a basic knowledge of it. The second section will satisfy experienced developers who want to combine jQuery and ColdFusion together to power AIR applications.

I can't confirm at the moment, but I believe that the presentation will be broadcast and recorded via Acrobat Connect for those who can't attend in person. Hope to see you there.
